Oak Creek Man Convicted of Medicaid Fraud

Keith London was found guilty of 17 counts of medical assistance fraud and will serve more than six years in prison.

An Oak Creek man was sentenced to more than six years in prison after he was convicted of 17 counts of Medicaid fraud.

Keith London, 39, participated in the Medicaid-funded "Include, Respect, I Self-Direct" (IRIS) program that allows Medicaid recipients to hire their own care providers, according to a state Department of Justice news release. Participants act as employers and submit timesheets to IRIS, showing the hours worked by care providers.

Prosecutors said money was deposited into London's personal bank account after he falsely claimed employees were working as his care provider. One such employee said he never worked for London, while another said she worked for just two days and was never paid, according to the news release.
