Oak Creek Pick 'n Save Panhandler Draws Ire Of Shoppers: Police

According to Oak Creek police call logs, a shopper told police the man was approaching "every person" for money.

OAK CREEK, WI — A Hales Corners man has been asked not to go back to the local Pick 'n Save after several have raised concerns over panhandling.

According to Oak Creek police call logs, officers were called to the Pick 'n Save on W. Ryan Road just after 1:30 p.m. on Sep. 5 on a report of a panhandler.

A grocery store manager told police that a 29-year-old Hales Corners man has been on the property numerous times asking people for money, and that he's been told not to be on the property. The manager told police they want the man cited for trespassing every time he's on the property.

According to police call logs, a shopper told police the man was approaching "every person" for money. "Some people are yelling at him and some are giving him money," the shopper told police.

When police talked with the man, he told police he was asking for people for money. According to call logs, the man was cited for trespassing and cited for loitering.
