Oak Creek Plans Additional Burns Friday

OAK CREEK, WI—Leaders in Oak Creek are warning residents about additional controlled burns.

At the time of each burn, visibility in the immediate area may be impaired due to smoke.

The following sites are scheduled for prescribed burns on November 13:
• Abendschein Park (1311 E. Drexel Ave.) – near skate park and along creek.

• Oak Creek Municipal Services Building (800 W. Puetz Rd.) – 3 ponds in back lot

For safety reasons, burn sites will be closed to the public for the duration of the burn.

Controlled burns are recommended to reduce the growth and spread of weedy, invasive and non-native plant species.
