Oak Creek Police Department Names Acting Police Chief Following Retirement of Chief John Edwards
Acting Chief Steve Anderson has served for more than 25 years at the OCPD

OAK CREEK -- Following the retirement of Oak Creek Police Chief John Edwards last month, the OCPD has named Steve Anderson as Acting Chief of the department.
Anderson is very familiar with the City of Oak Creek, having been a part of the OCPD since 1991 and has previously served as their Administrative Captain overseeing investigations, facilities and non-sworn employees, as well as a patrol shift lieutenant, detective and lieutenant in charge of the detective bureau. He also has spen more than 10 years on Oak Creek's Emergency Response Unit (SWAT team) and two years as a team leader, among other assignments.
Anderson is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, with a bachelors degree in criminal justice. He also has a master of science degree in leadership with a concentration in criminal justice from Marian University.
