Oak Creek Softball Player Has Game For The Ages
Oak Creek varsity softball coach Jeff Trask said Becca Oleniczak's performance against Racine Case is one he may never see again.

OAK CREEK, WI — Oak Creek High School girls varsity softball coach Jeff Trask has seen a lot of excellent play during his tenure as coach, however a singular performance in Tuesday's game against Racine Case may be the first - and last - time he ever sees such a performance again.
That's because Oak Creek High School senior pitcher/third base player Becca Oleniczak was completely dominant. On the pitcher's mound, she struck out 10 batters while throwing a no-hitter. As a batter, she stepped up to the plate three times - only to hit three home runs while driving in seven runs in the 10-0 victory.
SB Final: OC 10 Case 0 in five innings. @speccs10 Becca Oleniczak goes 3-3 with 3 home runs and 7 RBI and tosses a no-hitter w/ 10 K’s on the mound! Julia Veloz & Jenna Trewynn add solo homers as well in the victory! #GoKnights @knightsoftball @JRRadcliffe @MarkStewartMJS pic.twitter.com/1k5sX64BK6

"After last night's game I was speechless; I can't really believe I saw that happen," Oak Creek coach Jeff Trask said in a Journal Sentinel report Wednesday. "Ten strikeouts and the five (other) outs were all ground ball outs to her, so she accounted for every out. On top of that, she goes 3 for 3 with three home runs and seven RBIs; definitely a performance I doubt I'll ever see again."

That's high praise indeed from a coach who has seen Oleniczak earn Pitcher of the Year at the end of the 2017 softball season for finishing with 21 wins against only one loss. She struck out 136 batters in 141 innings. As a hitter, she batted .510 and stuck out only five times throughout the season.
This year, the Knights are off to another hot start and are looking to return to the WIAA Division 1 state softball again in June after advancing to the state semifinal game last year.
