Oak Creek South Of Ryan Road Hardest Hit By COVID-19: Officials

Oak Creek health officials say the census tract south of Ryan Road and north of the Racine County line has been the hardest-hit area.

OAK CREEK, WI — Officials in Oak Creek say more than 60 percent of all COVID-19 cases in the city have recovered through Monday

According to the Oak Creek Health Department, there were 186 reported cases of COVID-19 in Oak Creek, and 12 COVID-19-related deaths. City officials said of the 186 reported cases, there have been 119 recoveries.

City health officials say the southernmost part of Oak Creek has been hit the hardest by the coronavirus. According to city data, Census Tract 1603, which borders Racine County to the south and Ryan Road to the north, has seen nearly 60 cases as of Monday. The next-closest of Oak Creek's five Census Tracts reported nearly 45 cases. That tract, named 1602.03, is bordered by S. 27th Street to the west, E. Drexel Ave. to the north, S. Pennsylvania Ave. to the East and E. Puetz Road to the south.
