Oak Creek Superintendent Releases Second Statement After Videos Surface Of Students Fighting

Superintendent James Culver released the second statement after receiving feedback on his initial statement.

OAK CREEK - Oak Creek-Franklin Joint School District Superintendent Tim Culver released a second statement Wednesday after videos surfaced on Facebook of students fighting.

Culver's initial statement came Tuesday after a source tipped off the district that an unnamed Facebook page was posting the videos. You can read the story here.

Culver started the second statement by saying that his original post "generated some good questions." He proposed another question residents might be interested in: "How is the district putting the anti-bullying and safety policies into place?"

Culver talked about the Pupil Services Team to promote anti-bullying lessons, daily local law enforcement presence in the high school, the tracking and reviewing of disciplinary data to address any problem areas, and the annual survey of parents and students on safety perceptions to help create action plans.

Culver ended the statement wishing students and their families an enjoyable spring break.
