Oak Creek Woman Treated for Cocaine Overdose

The 26-year-old woman has been charged with possession of cocaine following the incident last week.

An Oak Creek woman who police say was treated for a cocaine overdose last week has been charged with misdemeanor possession of the narcotic. 

Angie Schram, 36, was charged July 6 after an incident the night before. Police say they responded to a report of an overdose at a home in the 2100 block of West College Avenue and found Schram pacing back in forth and breathing heavily on a front porch. 

She told police, according to the court documents, after walking home from the Oak Creek fireworks display she purchased cocaine at a gas station, and later ingested two lines of the narcotic.

Firefighters transported Schram to a local hospital to be treated for a cocaine overdose, the criminal complaint says. 

Police later retrieved a baggie with about 0.1 grams of cocaine from Schram’s car, according to the criminal complaint.

If convicted, she could face up to one year in county jail, $5,000 in fines, or both. She is due in court July 30 for a pre-trial conference, according to online court records.
