Oak Creek's 4th Of July Fireworks, Parade 2020 Canceled
Oak Creek's traditional Fourth of July events may be canceled, but there are several other ways you can celebrate the holiday safely.

OAK CREEK, WI – July 4 events across the country will not look the same this year thanks to the coronavirus. Many cities and towns have been forced to cancel the annual Fourth of July events, including Oak Creek.
"For many years, the Oak Creek community has celebrated the Fourth of July together with a festive parade, ice cream cups handed out by the mayor and other elected officials, kids' games, live music, and a beautiful fireworks display at dusk," Oak Creek officials said in a statement Wednesday. "Unfortunately, the many obstacles to planning a 2020 event in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in the Common Council canceling this event scheduled for Saturday, July 4, 2020."
In making their decision, the Mayor and City Council noted how difficult it would be to pull the events off safely amid the pandemic.
