Oakwood Road To Close Long-Term For I-94 Project

OAK CREEK, WI -- Motorists in Oak Creek will need to find a new way to get around in the southern part of the city as a result of the next phase of the state's I-94 north-south freeway project.

According to the state Department of Transportation, Oakwood Road, which crosses under I-94, will close long-term to traffic on Monday, Oct. 29 by 6 a.m. and be closed through late 2019.

The DOT says that motorists can use 27th Street, Ryan Road and Howell Ave. to get around the Oakwood Road closure.
