Oakwood Road Re-Opens To Traffic

The road will be closed again in 2020, transportation officials said - however only for a short term.

OAK CREEK, WI — Oak Creek residents who drive through the southern part of the city received a boost this week after transportation officials re-opened a stretch of road near I-94.

On Monday, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation re-opened a stretch of Oakwood Road that passes beneath I-94.

The road will be closed again in 2020, transportation officials said - however only for a short term.

According to the DOT, Oakwood Road will close briefly to allow for final road construction. The date for that closure has not been set as of mid-December.
