Person Shot In Oak Creek Carjacking Late Thursday: Sheriff

OAK CREEK, WI — One person was seriously injured Thursday night after Milwaukee County Sheriff's officials said they were shot during the course of an armed robbery and carjacking in Oak Creek.

Authorities were called to the Elm Road off ramp at I-94 just before 8:30 p.m. on a report that a person had been shot in the back, according to reports.

Sheriff's officials said the incident happened on the Elm Road off ramp of northbound I-94 in Oak Creek.

Authorities were called to the area at about 8:30 p.m. Sheriff's officials said one victim sustained a gunshot wound and was transported to an area hospital.

There was no word on the victim's condition or whether a suspect was in custody as of Thursday night.
