Plans For New Day Care Center Move Forward

Plans for a new day care center to open in a vacant building on 20th Street have moved closer to fruition.

The Oak Creek Plan Commission on Tuesday gave another favorable recommendation for Kids N' Care, which would open at 6901 S. 20th St.

Under a proposal submitted to the city, the day care would operate from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, feature an outdoor play area and employ between 10 to 15 people.

The business would occupy a building that was once home to an architectural firm but has sat empty for several years.

Kids N' Care, which has a location in Greenfield, offers infant, pre-school, Head Start, kindergarten and before and after school programs.

The Plan Commission recommended the Common Council, which will take up the proposal at a future date, approve the plans.
