Police Investigating Burglary at Oak Creek Church

Police are trying to determine who broke into Faith Baptist Church, 8519 S. 13th St., and stole more than $1,000 in cash and checks. 

According to a police report, someone entered the church between 8:30 p.m. June 29 and 7:15 a.m. June 30 and stole a cash register, money box, a portfolio with money inside and several $50 checks made out for school deposits. 

A police canine was brought in to look for evidence in the field and woods around the church but did not find any. 

The church also reported minor damage to two doors and a door frame.
