Police Make Arrests After Homeowner Sees Men Carrying Safe: Cops

According to Oak Creek police call logs, a concerned resident called police to report seeing two people carrying a safe into a wooded area near the 6600 block of S. Pennsylvania Ave. just before 4 p.m. on Aug. 8.
Police later learned that three people were involved, and had relocated to the backyard of a home on the 6600 block of S. Crane Drive, according to call logs.

Oak Creek police said the three people saw Oak Creek police and ran from the property, only to be tracked down by officers with the South Milwaukee police department.
The three claimed they didn't know anything about a safe, police noted, until an Oak Creek officer found it on the northeast corner of the Crane Drive property line under some trees.

Police said all three men were brought to the Oak Creek police department on suspicion of obstructing an officer.
According to police call logs, a 21-year-old Oak Creek man was found to have an open arrest warrant out of Fond du Lac County for failing to show up for a scheduled court appearance.
Police said an 18-year-old South Milwaukee man was cited for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. Police also said the third member of the group, a 19-year-old from South Milwaukee was ordered detained by the Department of Corrections on an unrelated matter.
