Power went out just before 8 p.m. for about 2,500 residents in Oak Creek Sunday night. The culprit? A tree that got caught up in the wires.

OAK CREEK, WI — It was a tree.
That's what We Energies officials are saying was the likely culprit that caused power outages for about 2,500 residents in the Oak Creek area Sunday night.
Power went out just before 8 p.m. We Energies officials determined that the power outage extended from Drexel Ave on the north, Ryan Road on the south, S. 13th St. to the west and Nicholson to the East.
