The woman reported to police that gunfire came from multiple vehicles, but she was unable to provide descriptions of those vehicles, and the police have not identified any suspects in the shooting. Oak Creek Police and the Oak Creek Fire Department were reportedly dispatched to the scene at the request of the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office. The scene ultimately was turned over to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office and Milwaukee Police Department.
According to reports, the woman called police at around 2:13 a.m. to report her boyfriend had been shot in the back of the head. A dispatcher gave the woman instructions about how to control the bleeding. It was reported that an initial incident between the drivers of the vehicles occurred at a Citgo gas station on Teutonia Avenue in Milwaukee, which is why the Milwaukee County Sheriff and Milwaukee Police Department were involved.
