Road Closure To Affect S. 13th Street For 3 Days

Drivers in Oak Creek will have a detour starting later this week as workers will perform some construction work in the area.

OAK CREEK, WI — Drivers in Oak Creek will have a detour starting later this week as workers will perform some construction work in the area.

Officials say S. 13th St., between Drexel Ave. and Rawson Ave. will be closed to through traffic from Thursday, Jan. 30, through the end of the day on Saturday, Feb. 1 for the installation of two sanitary sewer connections to the development at northwest corner of Drexel and 13th.

For people who live on 13th St. who need to visit a 13th St. business will still have the ability to reach their destination, officials say.

The 7100-7600 blocks of 13th St.will have access from the north via Rawson Ave. The 7700-7800 blocks of 13th St. will have access from the south via Drexel Ave.

Only homeowners on 7700-7800 blocks of 13th St., where the construction will be taking place, will have local access to that area during this time. General through traffic will not be allowed.
