South Shore Cinema Opening Friday

OAK CREEK, WI — South Shore Cinema in Oak Creek is opening Friday after the Marcus Corporation announced the timing for the next two phases of reopening theaters.

Company officials said the Renaissance Cinema in Sturtevant, Bistroplex at Southridge and South Shore Cinema in Oak Creek are among the 35 theaters will reopen Friday. Another 30 theaters will welcome guests back on Aug. 28.

In total, more than two-thirds of the 91 Marcus Theaters or Movie Tavern locations will be reopened in time for release of the film “Tenet” on Sept. 3.

The remaining theaters will open at a later date, officials said. All theaters will feature updated health and safety measures, officials said.
