Weather Alert: Strong Thunderstorms This Afternoon

MILWAUKEE - The National Weather Service is warning of strong thunderstorms in the Milwaukee area this afternoon.

This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of east central
Wisconsin...South central Wisconsin and southeast Wisconsin.

Today and tonight

Scattered thunderstorms are expected this afternoon across Southern Wisconsin. There is a marginal risk for a severe thunderstorm producing large hail or damaging wind gusts. The thunderstorms will end during the early evening. Brief heavy downpours are possible with the thunderstorms.

Recent heavy rainfall over central Wisconsin will result in moderate flooding along the Baraboo River in the Rock Springs and Reedsburg areas...And minor flooding around Baraboo. The river flooding will continue through the first part of this coming week.
