OAK CREEK, WI — Georgie Porgie's, a local Oak Creek burger joint, held its 7th Annual Burger Contest last week to determine which was the best out of 200 burger ideas, according to a press release from the restaurant.

The 200 submissions were narrowed down to ten burgers that a panel of judges got to sample and score last week. The sole winner of the competition has emerged, but it's not quite the average burger- it's sort of a cheesesteak, too.

Scott Michaels submitted the winning burger idea, dubbing it the Milly Cheesesteak. It is a standard beef burger topped with fried onions, sauteed peppers, slices of sirloin steak and homemade beer cheese, all stacked onto a white bun.

Brewer's Bullpen Catcher Marcus Hanel was one of the celebrity judges for the competition. He was one of the biggest fans of the Milly Cheesesteak burger idea, especially considering its cheesesteak roots. Besides his status as a big-league bullpen catcher, Hanel is known for eating 23 cheesesteak sandwiches during a Brewer's trip to Phillidepliha, according to the press release.

"If this was in the Philly clubhouse, I would have had 30," Hanel said about the Milly Cheesesteak.

Other judges on the panel included Dom the Food Reviewer, Brewer's Announcer Bill Schroeder, Brewer's coaching advisor Ed Sedar, Brewer's Sports Analyst Tim Dillard, and Ryan Roman, last year's winner.

The burger will now be available to the public until June 30 at both the Oak Creek and Mt. Pleasant Georgie Porgie's locations for $8.99.
