Woman Arrested For Stealing From Her Grandmother
Police say a woman stole her grandmother's checks and cashed them for more than $6,000.
A woman who police say stole 22 checks from her grandmother and cashed them for a total of $6,695 has been arrested for forgery.
According to an Oak Creek police report, the grandmother told police the thefts have been going on since March 1. Her granddaughter, who is living with her, has been making the checks out to her boyfriend and possibly others, according to the report.
In addition to forgery, Oak Creek police also arrested her for drug paraphernalia possession.
