• Casper Planning & Zoning Commission forwards Eagle Valley subdivision replat to City Council (oilcity.news) — Casper’s Planning & Zoning Commission has recommended approval of a contested replat in the Eagle Valley subdivision, allowing two new homes on land neighbors view as a key drainage area. Residents raised stormwater, slope stability, and open-space concerns, while city staff and the developer said engineering and easements will protect drainage. The Casper City Council will make the final decision. 
• Ranking America's 50 Most Miserable Cities (alot.com) — Casper is singled out as Wyoming’s most “miserable” city, with claims of the lowest income growth in the country and crime rates more than 60% higher than the state average. The piece compares poverty, income, and crime data across many U.S. cities and even suggests Cheyenne as a “happier” Wyoming alternative, framing Casper in a harshly negative light.
• Alleged Hiland store burglars crash in sagebrush after shop owner pursues (oilcity.news) — Law enforcement say two men were arrested after a burglary at the shuttered Bright Spot store in Hiland and a chaotic chase that ended off Highway 20-26 between Casper and Shoshoni. Natrona County and state troopers linked a wrecked van, shoe prints, and a dropped car battery to the suspects, who now face burglary, theft, property damage, and reckless endangerment charges. Both maintain the case is a misunderstanding.
