Big-Rig Crash Blocks U.S. Highway 101 In Sonoma County
The semi overturned and hit a tree near Todd Road in Santa Rosa.
SONOMA COUNTY, CA — A collision involving a big rig on U.S. Highway 101 in Santa Rosa resulted in traffic delays most of Friday afternoon and into the evening commute.
The semi-truck overturned and hit a tree around 1:30 p.m. Friday on southbound U.S. 101 near the Todd Road offramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
At least one person was injured.

The crash north of Rohnert Park caused a fire and there was major damage to a guardrail. The incident also left about 10 yards of dirt and broken tree debris on Moorland Avenue.
A Sig-alert was issued at 1:39 p.m. for the southbound 101 at Todd Road, where all three lanes were blocked.

At 3:32 p.m., the middle and fast lanes reopened but the slow lane remained blocked.
At 6:34 p.m., the slow lane was still closed and a severe traffic alert remained in place.
