Hands on Science at SSU Festival
Explore hands-on science activities, learn about local organizations working to protect the Laguna de Rosa watershed and more at SSU's Science Festival on Saturday, April 13

Sonoma State University's School of Science and Technology and SSU Preserves are opening their doors to the community Saturday, April 13 in an effort to share their research and educate residents about the school's science research and local ecology.
There is something for everyone at SSU's Science Festival --from the smallest scientist to the watershed ecologist. The event is free and will be going on from 9am to 3pm at Darwin Hall.
Featured exhibits and activities include:

- A 40-foot interactive display that takes visitors on a journey down Copeland Creek to the Pacific Ocean with fun facts about habitats and information about how science is needed to understand water issues. Visitors can find out where their water comes from with the Sonoma County Water Agency’s 3-D model of water flow in the watershed
- Department laboratories and collections, complete with hands-on displays. Visitors can participate in activities, talk to students and faculty, and learn more about what scientists do.
- Self-guided tours of Copeland Creek and campus gardens and the Water Art Exhibit at the SSU Library, and other Seawolf Day activities on campus.
