Man Found In Distress Is Reunited With Family: Santa Rosa PD

SANTA ROSA, CA — UPDATED: A man Santa Rosa police were working to identify Wednesday is now safe and secure with family members, police said in an update.

Margarito Soto-Guizar, 72, was found Tuesday afternoon near Fulton and San Miguel roads. He appeared to be in distress and was not able to tell officers where he lived or whether he had family or friends in the area, police said.

"Thank you to everyone who assisted in locating Margarito Soto-Guizar's family," police said in the update. "After being treated at a local hospital, Soto-Guizar was picked up by family."

ORIGINAL POST: Police in Santa Rosa are trying to identify a man found in distress who was not able to tell officers where he lives or whether he has any friends or relatives in the area.

When located Tuesday afternoon near Fulton and San Miguel roads, Soto spoke only Spanish and provided the name of Margarito Soto-Guizar, 72 years old, police said.

Police took Soto to a local hospital and are hoping someone recognizes him.
