Downed Redwood Trees Block Bohemian Highway
TRAFFIC ALERT: The trees were blocking both lanes, prompting a Sigalert and road closure.

WEST SONOMA COUNTY, CA — Five large redwood trees came down Tuesday morning onto Bohemian Highway, leaving the road blocked in both directions south of Occidental, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A Sigalert was issued around 8 a.m. for the Bohemian Highway at Salmon Creek School, with the road expected to be closed in both directions for 3-4 hours, according to CHP dispatch logs.
Crews were requested to clear the trees, which were said to be blocking both lanes of Bohemian Highway.

As of 10 a.m. Tuesday, road closures were in still effect at Bohemian Highway and Salmon Creek School Access Road, and at Bittner Road and Bohemian Highway, according to the CHP.
