Emerald Cup Marijuana Festival Lures Thousands to Fairgrounds

In Santa Rosa, more than four hundred entries were submitted in the judging contest. The winner won a free trip to Jamaica.

The Emerald Cup celebrated of its third year in Santa Rosa over the weekend at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds.


Said to showcase “some of the best outdoor organic marijuana in the world” according to Press Democrat, the weekend event drew more than 21,000 people.

Organizers say the event draws producers from the so-called “Emerald Triangle” of Mendocino, Humboldt and Trinity counties, an area that organizers claim holds the largest agricultural crop on the North Coast.
