A Sebastopol man has been identified as the driver of Toyota pickup truck who died in a solo-vehicle crash on Oak Grove Avenue in Graton.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — The driver of a Toyota pickup truck who died in a solo-vehicle collision Tuesday morning just off state Highway 116 north of Sebastopol was identified by the Sonoma County Coroner's Office as Reed Killian, 67, of Sebastopol. The fatal crash was reported at 7:05 a.m. on Oak Grove Avenue, west of SR-116 in the Graton area of West Sonoma County, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Emergency personnel responded to find a white 1989 Toyota pickup that had driven eastbound off the north edge of the roadway and collided with a tree, CHP Officer Marcus Hawkins said.

“CPR was started, but the driver was eventually pronounced deceased on scene,” Hawkins said.

CHP’s preliminary investigation of the crash indicated Killian was not wearing his seat belt in the Toyota, which did not have airbags, according to Hawkins.
