Former CA Mayor Arrested On Suspicion Of Sex Crimes Against Minor

A former Northern California mayor was arrested Saturday on six charges, including suspected sex with a child aged 14 or 15.

SEBASTOPOL, CA — Former Sebastopol Mayor Robert Jacob was arrested Saturday in connection with the sexual assault of a child aged 14 or 15, according to multiple reports. He is suspected of committing lewd acts and forcible penetration of a minor, the Press Democrat reported.

Last month, police received a report of sexual assault committed by Jacob between December 2019 and March 2021, according to Sebastopol Police Chief Kevin Kilgore.

Jacob, 44, was arrested Saturday morning on six charges including sex with a minor, transporting a minor with the purpose of having sex with them, distribution of child pornography and soliciting a minor for lewd purposes, Fox News reported.

Jacob is also a cannabis entrepreneur, according to multiple reports.
