GoFundMe Page Set Up In Memory Of Santa Rosa Mother Of 4

Paula Zamora was fatally shot by her husband in a murder-suicide Monday, police said. A donation page has been set up for her children.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — A GoFundMe campaign has been established for the four children whose parents died Monday in a murder-suicide in Santa Rosa. Santa Rosa police said Tomas Zamora-Martinez, 52, fatally shot his wife of 27 years, Paula Zamora, 43, in her vehicle near a fitness club in the Coddingtown Mall, them shot himself in the head in his vehicle a short distance away.

Zamora was rushed to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital where she died from her injuries.

Police said the couple were recently separated and lived at different family residences.

Their surviving family members were notified Monday by authorities.

Zamora leaves behind four children between 8 and 25 years old, according to the GoFundMe page, "In Loving Memory [of] Paula Teña, Mother of 4," which shows photos of her with her children.

"For those who had the privilege to meet Paula, knew the absolute loving and caring character she was filled with," wrote Ashley Gallardo, a family member.

"No one is prepared for a tragic loss like these," Gallardo wrote. "Her children are hurting, so anything anyone would like to help them with is very appreciated. Please don't hesitate in helping."

The family had raised more than $3,000 toward its $5,000 as of Thursday morning.
