Graton Resort & Casino Eatery Introduces Dim Sum Menu

ROHNERT PARK, CA — The upscale Boathouse Asian Eatery, in Rohnert Park, has added to its menu options new, chef-inspired dim sum dishes, available three days per week.

The small, bite-sized portions, served in steamer baskets or on small plates, are served Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at the restaurant located at Graton Resort & Casino.

“Dim sum has been among our most requested cuisines, so we’re excited to bring this amazing experience to our guests,” said Boathouse co-founders, Chef Tu Do and his sister Catherine Do, who modeled their establishment's Asian-influenced dishes from their Vietnamese heritage and a background preparing Chinese and Japanese fare.

Another Boathouse co-founder, Hans Mogensen, grew up on a small farm in Denmark and brings to the business a passion for fresh ingredients and produce.

Brought on to design Boathouse's dim sum menu was Master Dim Sum Chef Pit-fun Li, who has gained culinary fame over the years for his dishes while working, since 17, for the Guangzhou Restaurant Group in China and later for the East Ocean Gourmet Group in Hong Kong, according to management.

Among Chef Pit’s signature, dim sum Boathouse dishes are the House-Roasted Duck and Shoa Lung Bao, soup dumplings expertly prepared with just the right amount of broth and the traditional dumpling “pinch” to secure them in place before they hit the steamer.

Other Boathouse dim sum includes:

• Har Gow Shrimp Dumplings, with dough made from scratch;
• Shrimp & Pork Shumai;
• Char Sui Pork Pastry: an Asian meat pie made with a flaky, crusty dough and savory sweet BBQ pork filling;
• Hong Kong Daikon Cake: a dim sum classic;
• Egg Custard Bao: a soft bao dessert with a creamy sweet egg custard center.
