Here's what to know about changes to Oliver's Market hours and actions the store is taking to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

No Reusable Bags Allowed
At this time, Oliver’s is not allowing use of reusable bags, and is not charging customers for grocery bags.
Face Coverings Required
As with all businesses in Sonoma County and in California, facial covering — a mask covering nose and mouth — is required to enter the store. All employees must wear face coverings, ensuring the safety of employees and customers.
Customers are not required to wear gloves, but employees in the Front End, Meat, Bakery, Produce, Cheese and Deli departments are wearing gloves. Customers who might not witness a glove change between tasks may request that an employee serving them change their gloves and they will gladly oblige.
Entry Limits
In order to encourage the health and safety of Oliver’s employee owners and customers, entry limits are still being enforced at all stores. Waiting customers are asked to line up in designated areas, and to practice social distancing measures while in line.
Social Distancing & Best Practices for Shopping Safely
At the beginning of April, the County of Sonoma issued a requirement that essential businesses in Sonoma County must create, post and implement a social distancing protocol for each facility they operate. Oliver's has its protocols posted at each store and online.
Current Purchase Limits & Product Availability
The supply chain has greatly improved in recent weeks, Oliver's says, but due to high demand, customers may encounter temporary sell-outs or purchase limits. Shoppers are asked to please watch for signage on popular items.
Bulk Department Changes
At the request of the Sonoma County Health Department, all self-service Bulk Department, including gravity bins, scoop bins, bulk spices and bulk coffee are closed. Many of the most popular bulk items are being prepacked to maintain availability. Bulk coffee can be packaged by an employee upon request.
Weekly In-Store Ad
Oliver's Market says that due to supplier issues, the store is providing a modified weekly ad which is posted to the store's website each Wednesday and highlighted in the Wednesday Press Democrat ad.
A copy is also posted in all stores. The ad is not printed, though a single sheet listing of ad items is now available. The modified ads feature products from the Produce, Bakery, Cheese, Deli, Natural, Grocery, Wellness and Wine departments.
