Excitement is in the air as the city prepares to celebrate its 50th Anniversary. The fun begins at La Plaza Park at 7 a.m., Saturday.

7 - 9 am          Free Pancake Breakfast at Church of the Oaks

10 am             Parade starts at Community Center, ends at La Plaza Park

10 am - 1 pm  KIDS FESTIVAL at La Plaza Park

11:15  am       Welcome by MC Fiz-Nik Rick

11:20  am       Diaper Derby (crawlers only)

11:30              Rubber Chicken Relay "Which Came First?"

11:45              Bubble Gum Blowing Contest ( kids & adults)

12:00              Better or Best (kids with a parent)

12:15              Dancing + Bubble Fun

12:30              Cupcake Eating Contest, sponsored by Sift Cupcakes & Dessert Bar

1 - 6 pm          50th ANNIVERSARY FESTIVAL at La Plaza Park

1 pm               VIPs Introduction, including Past Mayors of Cotati

                       Parade Winners Announced 

                       Birthday Cake served

                       Beer & Wine booth opens

2 - 6 pm          Music by PRIDE & JOY

2:30ish           Walking Tour of Cotati by Prue Draper
