PG&E Determines Cause Of Widespread Rohnert Park Outage

More than 11,000 customers were affected by the outage. Service was restored to the last of them by 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.

ROHNERT PARK, CA — PG&E has determined a faulty underground cable is what caused a widespread power outage Monday night in Rohnert Park.

"PG&E safely restored power to most of the 11,689 customers who were impacted by the power outage in Rohnert Park by 10:30 last night," PG&E Spokeswoman Deanna Contreras wrote in an email to Patch.

"The remaining few customers had power by 7:30 this morning. The fault, and the cause of the power outage, was determined to be with an underground cable on Huddis Street."
