Several people called 911 to report the shooting in the parking lot of Park Ridge Apartments.

Callers said multiple rounds were fired, and officers found a 29-year-old man lying in the grass in front of some apartments, clinging to life, Rohnert Park DPS Lt. Jeff Nicks said.

The victim lived at Park Ridge Apartments and police did not immediately know whether he knew the shooter.
