Rohnert Park Driver Clocked at 145 M.P.H. on Highway 101
The 21 year old was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving Saturday
A Rohnert Park driver was clocked by Highway Patrol doing 145 m.p.h. on Highway 101 early Saturday, CHP reports. The 21-year-old driver was later arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, according to Officer Marcus Hawkins.
An officer spotted a 2012 Infinity G37 in the northbound lane just north of Petaluma Boulevard North at 4 a.m., according to a news release. A speed detection device indicated the vehicle was traveling at 145 m.p.h.
The vehicle then slowed down. The officer stopped the driver for a suspected speed violation and made a DUI arrest, Hawkins reports.
