Rohnert Park Measure B: Voters To Decide On Urban Growth Boundary
If approved by voters, the ordinance will renew the city's urban growth boundary for another 20 years.
ROHNERT PARK, CA — Voters in Rohnert Park on Tuesday will consider Measure B, an ordinance that renews the city's urban growth boundary for another 20 years until Dec. 31, 2040. The current urban growth boundary ordinance expires June 30, 2020.
The measure, which requires majority approval, also excludes an 80-acre parcel currently located in unincorporated Sonoma County from the urban growth boundary.
Development prohibited from beyond the urban growth boundary includes any that requires one or more basic municipal services, such as water, sewer and storm drains, but does not include open spaces, parks, agricultural uses and community fields and golf courses that are provided with municipal or public services.
