Tribal Council Members Break Ground At New Farm Site
The Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria's new 5-acre farm site is across the street from the original Tribal Garden in Rohnert Park.
ROHNERT PARK, CA— The Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria Tribal Council celebrated a groundbreaking March 25 for a new farm site.
Situated across the street from the original Tribal Garden, the nearly 5-acre farm site features important infrastructure that will support the Tribal Council's farming endeavors, according to a news release.
The original Tribal Garden will remain in operation and will gradually transition to low maintenance crops, allowing for more intermittent tending at that site. Higher maintenance annual vegetable crops will be produced entirely at the new farm site, the Tribal Council said.
