Tubbs Fire Victim Identified On Fundraising Site

BREAKING: "Her huge heart and sweet soul will live on with all of us forever," according to a page set up in memory of the victim.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — Another Santa Rosa resident has been identified as someone who died in the Tubbs Fire, which burned through Santa Rosa after it started Sunday night, a post on the crowdfunding site YouCaring said. Christina Hanson died and her father Michael was severely burned in the fire. He is in stable condition, according to the post. Michael lost his home and all of his belongings.

"Today we mourn the loss of our beautiful Christina," the post by Brittney Vinculado said. "Her huge heart and sweet soul will live on with all of us forever."

Another woman, Linda Tunis, also died when the Tubbs Fire burned a Santa Rosa mobile home park she lived in.

"My mother's remains have been found at her home at Journey's End. May she rest in peace, my sweet Momma," Jessica B. Tunis posted on Facebook on Wednesday above a photo of her mother in the Facebook group "Santa Rosa Firestorm Update."

The Tubbs Fire, which started near Calistoga and spread to Santa Rosa, destroyed the Journey's End mobile home park at 3575 Mendocino Ave., located just north of Kaiser Permanente's Santa Rosa Medical Center at 401 Bicentennial Way.

The fire has burned 34,270 acres and is 10 percent contained as of this morning, according to Cal Fire.

As of Thursday, the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office had confirmed at least 15 fatalities within the Tubbs Fireburn areas.
