We got taken for a Million Dollars Plus Engineering Costs!

So this is what a Million Dollar Fraud case looks like. Work not done, covered up. When the City was informed, they did nothing to stop the Contractor from doing it out of compliance with UCB and the Lump Sum Bid Job Design Specifications. And in doing so they not only raised the Height of the whole Bike Path by 6” causing the whole Fence Line to now hold 6” more water. They were supposed to fix this problem.

They didn’t do any of the Sub Base work spelled out in the contract. They covered up the fact right away on 10/17/19. Photos were sent to the City Manager showing him. Still nothing was done to stop them.

The out of code kept going on, and I kept sending photos to the city.

Then I got the Design Specifications From Green Valley Consulting Engineering who the city hired to Design and preform the QA on the job. It wasn’t done as they were also told about the Contractors construction practices.

So the 12” of Old Base rock under the Old Asphalt wasn’t Scarified, and re compacted the top 6” to a90% Compaction.

They didn’t install any Geo Fabric as stated.

They didn’t install 6” x 6” welded wire mesh as directed by Spec.

They didn’t give 3” Clearance from the Forms, and 2” Clearance to the ground.

They didn’t install any Horizontal Root Guards.

They didn’t install the 12 Bullard Bases that are 12” wide and 28” deep. And they should have been installed before the pour with sauna Tube. Now I bet they won’t get done to Design Specifications.

They installed a Curb instead of a ADA Sidewalk Ramp at the end of Graymill like the Spec calls for.

So the whole Path is out of Codes, And Out Of Design Specifications on the Lump Sum Bid Job Done by GCC!
