SONOMA COUNTY, CA — A woman who was struck outside a crosswalk by a vehicle near Rohnert Park last month has died at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, according to the California Highway Patrol. Dyan Jones, 38, was struck by a Nissan Frontier driven by a Glen Ellen man on Sept. 23, CHP Officer David deRutte said Wednesday.

Jones, a Santa Rosa-area transient, did not have identification with her at the tine of the collision on Roberts Lake Road south of the Santa Rosa Avenue interchange at 7:48 p.m., deRutte said.

The CHP learned who she was by talking with other transients in the area and then contacted Jones' family. The family visited Jones in the hospital before her death, deRutte said.
