Big Boom Bash Returns To Lakewood In 2021: What To Know
The annual celebration is back, but it will be a fireworks-only event, Lakewood officials said.
LAKEWOOD, CO — The 3rd Annual Big Boom Bash fireworks celebration of our nation’s independence will return to Lakewood this year, but won't include its traditional beer garden and food trucks, the city said.
The fireworks-only event will begin around 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, July 3, and the display will be choreographed to music by MIX 100.
"The show will be visible from Lakewood parks, neighborhoods and residences within a 1.5 mile radius of Jeffco Stadium, 500 Kipling St," the city said in a public notice.

The city of Lakewood also issued a fireworks warning as the 4th of July approaches.
"Fireworks can be the worst enemy to man’s best friend, and while dog owners can prepare for big, citywide events like the Big Boom Bash, they can’t plan for when neighbors illegally set off powerful fireworks at random times," the city said in a Facebook post.
"Dogs and other pets can become disoriented and frightened by fireworks, and many are reported missing around July 4th every year. Do your part for our furry friends, be a good neighbor and leave it to the professionals at the Big Boom Bash. All fireworks are illegal in Lakewood, and fines can reach up to $2,650."
