• DNA on glove links suspect to murder, arson at home of 83-year-old victim (9news.com) — Lakewood police have arrested a 41-year-old man in connection with the killing of 83-year-old Elizabeth Johnson and multiple fires set inside her ransacked South Kendall Street home. Investigators say DNA on a partially burned glove left at the scene linked the suspect to the burglary, arson attempts, and homicide. He’s being held in Jefferson County on several felony charges.

Lakewood police arrested the 22-year-old SUV driver on multiple charges and say speed likely played a major role. The children’s mother is now focused on her surviving kids and donating her son’s organs.
