Atlantic Wharf Hearing Delayed Until December

The proposal includes 205-units on Church Street.

A public hearing on Developer Robert Smith’s proposal to construct a 205-unit apartment complex on Church Street, which is part of the Atlantic Wharf project, has been delayed until December, Shore Publishing reports.

The project would also include a mixed-use component as well.

The hearing was supposed to happen last week but was delayed until the Dec. 3 Planning and Zoning Commission meeting. Smith’s Metro-Star company requested the delay in order to have more time to respond to technical comments.

The master plan has already been approved and this is the final site plan stage. If the project receives final approval it could be constructed by 2017, according to media reports.
