Proceeds from the raffle primarily benefit Branford Counseling & Community Services’ Basic Needs Program, which helps struggling residents pay for food, utilities and rent.

"In other words, every ticket you buy helps the community, and, hey, you just might win an implausible prize," the Rotary noted.

The $2,500 "Ridiculous Second Prize" is $50 gift cards to all 50 Branford restaurants and there are eight more prizes.

The drawing, overseen by Branford First Selectman Jamie Cosgrove, will be held July 27 at 7 p.m., and will be live-streamed on the Branford Rotary Facebook Page and online here.
