Branford Daughter Looks At Mom With Awe For All She Did

BRANFORD, CT — Whether it's through their personality, looks, hobbies or a combination of everything, daughters become a reflection of the woman who raised them. With Mother's Day 2018 right around the corner, we are celebrating that special bond by inviting Patch readers across Connecticut to share their "mother-daughter lookalike" photos.

It doesn't matter how old the kids are, they'll always be your babies! and part of the fun of motherhood is watching your children grow up and enjoy the same things that you love.

In Branford, Johnna Wallace says, "As an adult I often think back to the life my mom (Jacalyn Gonzalez) provided to me in awe. She was barely 21 when she had me, put me through 12 years of Catholic School so that I could have a foundation of both education and faith. She brought me to dance class, basketball practice and any other activity I was in (there were many). She brought my homework that I forgot to school- even high school! When I think of how my mother has contributed most to my life, it is because always encouraged me to be my best self. My mom has always gone out of her way to make sure that I had the best; yet, taught me to be humble and kind and she's still a knockout!
