Branford Festival's Father Of The Year Essay Contest Goes Online
The Branford Festival has been canceled, but its Father of the Year essay contest tradition lives on.
BRANFORD, CT — The 2020 Branford Festival has been canceled for the first time in 36 years, but its traditions will live on thanks to technology.
In a post to Facebook, the festival announced its Branford's Father of the Year essay contest will still be held this year, but in-person submissions will not be accepted.
Branford kids from kindergarten to eighth grade are invited to submit their to BranfordFOTY@gmail.com no later than June 12 to be considered for the contest.

Submissions must include name, address, school, grade and contact number.
The winner of the 2020 contest will be announced June 19.
