Branford Land Trust Fundraising To Buy, Preserve Two Properties

The land trust is seeking donations to help buy two properties for preservation.

Branford, CT - The Branford Land Trust is looking for public support so it can purchase two properties, and help preserve them for future generations.

According to Shore Publishing, the trust is hoping to raise $200,000 in order to "buy Spectacle Island, off the shore of Indian Neck, and Red Hill Woods, a 29-acre wooded parcel at the northern edge of the Hoadley Creek Preserve."

"For over 45 years, the Branford Land Trust has preserved open space in Branford and promoted our community’s appreciation of Branford’s diverse natural features through education, events, and programs.

We have been able to do this because of the ongoing support of Branford Land Trust members and our community. Their contributions have allowed us to protect more than 1300 acres of wonderful natural areas in Branford for generations to come."
