BRANFORD, CT — The Branford Police Department is making use of a common meme to remind the public of a simple message: lock your car.

"This is Brad," the photo on the department's Facebook page says. "Brad lives in a nice house in Branford. Brad left his keys in his unlocked car overnight. Brad's car is gone. Don't be like Brad."

Earlier this week, police reached out to the public asking for anybody in a certain part of town with surveillance equipment to offer any footage they had in an effort to find car burglars.
